Image sequences
An image sequence is a folder or sequence asset whose ordered frames play as one visual source. In ZoneQ it is an explicit Project Input kind.
What a sequence is
Section titled “What a sequence is”- One ordered visual source
- A frame rate and current playback position
- A source that compatible layers, shaders, and scenes can sample
What it is not
Section titled “What it is not”- A curve or parameter automation timeline
- A playlist of unrelated clips
- A stack of separate image layers
- Automatic text or object segmentation
Replace a starter source with a sequence
Section titled “Replace a starter source with a sequence”- Import or select the image sequence as a Project Input.
- Map it to a visual input that accepts sequences.
- Verify frame order, frame rate, and looping.
- Scrub or play transport and confirm the consuming layer updates.
Sequence files appear as first-class Project Input sources. They should not be treated as layer playlist items. If a recipe calls for replaceable typography, you can render animated type into an image sequence and map that sequence to the recipe’s visual input.
See Project Inputs for replacement and compatibility rules.
