Offline projects and playlist follows
A playlist helps you find projects. Offline availability depends on whether the project and its media are already on your device.
Installed desktop projects
Section titled “Installed desktop projects”Desktop Studio can include an installed selection from the official library. These projects are available without reaching Portal. Creating a project from one makes your own editable copy.
Installed projects come from the same official project files. Having an installed copy does not automatically follow its Portal playlist.
Web Studio
Section titled “Web Studio”Web Studio downloads library projects when you use them. Opening the website or following a playlist does not download the entire collection.
Browsing your account’s web library requires a connection. Before relying on a project while disconnected, save it locally and check that its media are available too.
Projects already on your device
Section titled “Projects already on your device”The Open dialog separates On This Device, My Library, and Open .zq From File. Local workspaces are labelled Available offline. Library rows distinguish Offline copy, Cloud only, Cloud, and Remote update available.
A project that uses a live camera or another device still needs that source. Opening the project offline cannot replace a disconnected camera.
Previously downloaded examples
Section titled “Previously downloaded examples”The library can retain project sources after a successful download. On desktop, a retained source may remain available when Portal cannot be reached.
When you are online, ZoneQ checks the source’s availability and compatibility before using it. If its compatibility is unknown, choose Check compatibility before creating a copy or appending its layers.
Saving a workspace and retaining a downloaded library source serve different purposes. For work you need to keep, save your own project rather than relying only on the library cache.
Followed playlists
Section titled “Followed playlists”Following keeps a playlist linked to its curator. When you reconnect, you can see changes to its contents and order. Following does not download its projects or grant access to private or removed entries.
An editable copy you created, or layers you already appended, belong to your project. Later playlist changes do not rewrite your work.
