Clockwork

Clockwork combines an animated multi-material gear model, night environment lighting, and a cyan area light whose intensity follows music.

Replace Concrete dream · 107 BPM with an audio file, a video’s audio, microphone, or system audio. The source level drives the cyan softbox.

The gear animation is embedded in the model. Replacing the model is possible in Scene3D, but the replacement must contain the animation and compatible material slots you intend to use.

  • Reflection strength controls the night environment intensity.
  • Camera distance reframes the sculpture.
  • Highlight bloom controls the finishing glow.
  • Finishing exposure sets the final tone-mapped brightness.

The animated clip plays from the model, while the light response comes from the audio binding. If the scene does not react, verify the replacement audio input is producing gain before changing the light.

Import the complete Clockwork layer and map its audio Project Input. Keep the Scene3D resource, model animation, three finish materials, lights, camera, environment, bloom, and tone mapping together. See Add reusable layers.

The layer renders the 3D scene over a procedural background, then finishes highlights in the 2D stack. Read Project Inputs for audio replacement and Layers and the stack for compositing.
