Print Crush

Print Crush reduces a visual source into dense ink, warm paper, and a graphic four-color finish. It works best with subjects that already have readable light and dark shapes.

Replace Demo visual — replace source with an image, video, image sequence, or camera. High-contrast logos and typography work well, but ZoneQ treats them as graphics; there is no native editable text in this project.

  • Contrast prepares the source for print separation.
  • Dot frequency changes the halftone density from 4 to 200.
  • Screen angle rotates the dot screen against the picture.

Set Dot frequency at the actual output resolution: a pattern that reads on a laptop can become too fine on a projector. Adjust Contrast next, then use Screen angle to avoid awkward alignment with straight edges.

Select the reusable Print Crush layer. In Connect sources, map its tap to one of your visual layers or choose Include original source, then choose Add layers. See Add reusable layers.

Color Adjust compresses the source into a stronger range, Halftone creates ink and paper, and Gradient Map supplies the final palette. The cards run in the order explained in Layers and the stack.
