Beat Bloom
Beat Bloom is a compact audio-reactive setup: a visual source is folded and graded while the level from a separate audio input drives bloom amount.
Replaceable sources
Section titled “Replaceable sources”- Replace Demo visual — replace source with an image, video, image sequence, or camera.
- Replace Beat source — replace audio with an audio file, a video’s audio, microphone, or system audio.
Both mappings matter. Replacing only the picture leaves the bundled demo pulse driving the effect; replacing only the audio leaves the demonstration image on screen.
Useful controls
Section titled “Useful controls”- Mirrors changes the kaleidoscope segment count.
- Rotation turns the fold.
- Colour split separates channels around contrasting edges.
- Bloom size changes the radius of the audio-driven glow.
Bloom amount is intentionally driven by Beat source gain rather than exposed as a manual Rack control. Use Bloom size to shape the response, then set the input level at the audio source.
Add it to another project
Section titled “Add it to another project”Select the reusable layer in Add layers, then resolve both dependencies under Connect sources. Map compatible visual and audio sources already in your project, or explicitly choose Include original source. See Add reusable layers.
Understand the graph
Section titled “Understand the graph”Kaleidoscope folds the visual, Chromatic Aberration adds the colour split, and Glow supplies bloom. A binding carries the Beat source level to Glow amount. The source identities stay stable when you replace their media.
