Fading Trails
Fading Trails removes dark regions from a moving image, adjusts the surviving colour, and accumulates it over time.
Replaceable sources
Section titled “Replaceable sources”The demo producer is Motion sample — replace with camera or video. It accepts an image, video, image sequence, or camera. Motion against a dark background gives the cleanest trail.
Useful controls
Section titled “Useful controls”- Retention per second controls how long previous imagery remains.
- Source injection controls how strongly the current frame enters history.
- Clear history resets the retained image.
Add it to another project
Section titled “Add it to another project”Choose File → Append Project…, find Fading Trails, and choose Choose layers to append. Select the reusable Fading Trails layer. In Connect sources, map its layer source to an existing compatible layer, or choose Include original source to bring the demo producer. Then choose Add layers. All layers + original sources imports the complete demonstration.
Understand the graph
