Freeze/Hold/Clear

Freeze/Hold/Clear is a minimal Temporal Accumulate project for learning explicit retained-state control.

Replaceable sources

Replace Motion sample — replace with camera or video with an image, video, image sequence, or camera.

Useful controls

Section titled “Useful controls”
  • Hold / freeze stops source injection while preserving the exact retained image.
  • Clear history erases that image, including while Hold is active.

Set Hold to 1 to freeze the current state. Set Clear to 1 while held to empty it. Return both toggles to 0 to resume live injection.

Add it to another project

Select the reusable layer in Add layers. Under Connect sources, map its dependency to a visual layer already in your project or choose Include original source. Confirm once no missing source remains.

Understand the graph

Temporal Accumulate owns the retained image. The two boolean Rack toggles alter injection and reset state without changing the source wiring. Read Feedback for the history model.
