Neon Grade
Neon Grade is the shortest route from raw footage to a high-contrast cyan, magenta, and warm-highlight look. It keeps the source replaceable and exposes only the controls needed for fast art direction.
Replaceable sources
Section titled “Replaceable sources”Replace Demo visual — replace source with an image, video, image sequence, or camera. The reusable Neon Grade layer reads that separate demo producer, so its Color Adjust, Gradient Map, and Glow stay connected when you substitute your own source.
Useful controls
Section titled “Useful controls”- Contrast separates dark and bright parts before the palette is applied.
- Palette spread changes how quickly the source travels through the four-color gradient.
- Bloom controls how much of the graded result glows.
Start by setting Contrast on your source, then move Palette spread until faces or silhouettes land in useful color bands. Add Bloom last; a strong bloom can hide the structure you are grading.
Add it to another project
Section titled “Add it to another project”Choose File → Append Project…, find Neon Grade, and choose Choose layers to append. Select the reusable Neon Grade layer. In Connect sources, map its layer tap to one of your visual layers or choose Include original source. The demo media is not imported automatically. See Append reusable layers.
Understand the graph
Section titled “Understand the graph”The layer applies Color Adjust, Gradient Map, then Glow. Read Project Inputs for source replacement and Layers and the stack for the processing order.
